This collection of articles discusses strategic issues in public administration, public policy, governance, and the social role in democratic development in Indonesia. The themes covered include the impact of work stress on the mental health and behavior of police officers, the importance of public participation in regulatory design, the implementation of village fund allocation policies, the effectiveness of performance-based budgeting in state finances, local government policies in creating inclusive cities for people with disabilities, and the role of women in preventing radicalism through religious organizations. Methodologically, the articles use various approaches, ranging from quantitative empirical research, qualitative policy studies, regional case studies, to systematic literature reviews. The main findings emphasize that the success of public policy is largely determined by the quality of human resources, community participation, institutional capacity, and policy sensitivity to social, psychological, and inclusivity aspects.
In terms of the authors' backgrounds, all articles were written by Indonesian academics and researchers with academic backgrounds in public administration, public policy, law, public finance, criminology, police studies, Islamic studies, and social sciences. The authors come from various universities and academic institutions in Indonesia and are actively engaged in studying issues of governance, public service, and social development. Collectively, these articles make a strong scientific contribution to the development of public policy literature in Indonesia, while offering practical recommendations for central and regional governments to improve the quality of governance, social justice, and the stability of democracy and national security.
